Mike is going to the Philippines, Loaog (La wag) Mission.
It is a newer mission and is on the north western
part of the island of Luzon. He leaves July 14.

Easter 2010

This week as the family celebrated Easter, we

had a family picture taken. Annie is new to our family, so

before Mike goes away for two years, we wanted a picture together.

Wednesday we will see where Mike is going and when

he will leave on his mission. We will keep you posted.

Mike Graduated (phew, he had us worried)

Well, of course Mike graduated from High School. He was an excellent student and even receieved a scholorship to Utah State. We are so proud of him and excited for his future!!

Dad's Plane

This is a cargo plane in the Hill Air Force Museum in Roy, Utah. It is a actual plane flown in the Pacific during World War II. There were two different versions of the same plane; this is the smaller one. On June 6th and 7th this year the Thunderbirds are coming for the air show and the larger plane should be at the museum.
During the war Dad was in one or the other of these planes to perform an assignment. They needed to rebuild some bridges. He was a supply sergeant and went around in Australia wherever he was stationed and found the supplies to build those bridges. He then held the supplies in the cargo hold while his commanding officer flew to where they were to perform this task. He was going to Guam, I think. If anyone has more details let me know.

The Nativity Story

Ryan and Jake helped make Christmas costumes for our nativity story. Connor was the perfect size this year for his part. Hailey kept her costume on and Andrew sometimes had his lamb (his costume). We were surprised at how well they made it through the whole thing. We hope to make this a Christmas tradition. I think they enjoy it. We did.

Eric and Mike thought they were so funny when their dad saw his profile on this new XBox game. This was their gift to him for his 58th birthday.

2008 Priest Area Champions

The final Area championship game was unbelievable. The scene was reinacted with a Jazz-like atmosphere. For team introductions they turned off the lights, then started flashing lights. They had the fans line up and then introduced the teams as they ran through the line-up. They had music throughout, games for the fans between quarters not to mention the free hot dogs. It was fun. We played the same team we played in the Region tournament championship. This was a tougher game but we still won 64-46. They were the top team out of over 300 teams-way cool! Mike is signing the trophy ball. Mike played great.

MICHAEL'S TEAM WINS IT ALL AT REGION!

We have spent the winter at gyms watching Michael's teams play basketball. They won almost all their games. They lost one game in church ball when Mike went out with a sprained ankle the second half. Mike's city and church teams have been playing together for a long time and they are good. Tomorrow they begin playing in a church area tournament. I don't know if I am more proud of the way they have played or the way they have been sportsmanlike in their play. Hoorah for March Madness and the fun we have had working up to this.

Disneyland 2007
